Our understanding of aesthetic dentistry
Beautiful teeth are something very personal. Some patients are bothered by a single discoloured filling in a front tooth, others would generally like brighter teeth, and others again would like to even out slight differences in shape or position. We take time to find out with you what you really want and which treatment suits it best.
Our approach
Aesthetics without exaggeration. We prefer the minimally invasive route, which sacrifices as little tooth structure as possible. A “natural” smile that suits your face is usually more lasting than the most radical solution.
Treatment options at a glance
Gentle teeth whitening (bleaching)
If your teeth have lost their original brightness, for example from coffee, tea, red wine or simply with age, professional whitening can make them visibly brighter again. We offer two options: tray bleaching at home (with individually made trays) or in-office bleaching directly at the practice. We decide which method is suitable for you after a thorough examination. The prerequisite is healthy tooth structure without active decay.
Veneers: thin ceramic shells
Veneers are wafer-thin, individually made shells of high-quality ceramic that are bonded to the front of the teeth. They are particularly well suited to correcting discoloured teeth, small gaps, enamel defects or slightly rotated front teeth. As the tooth only has to be ground down minimally, veneers are considered one of the restorations that preserve the most tooth structure.
Tooth-coloured composite fillings
Applied in layers, modern composite materials reproduce the natural structure of the tooth extremely well: enamel and dentine with their different degrees of translucency. They can be used to restore decay inconspicuously, rebuild chipped corners or replace older amalgam fillings. The filling is made directly in the chair, in a single session.
All-ceramic crowns and inlays
For larger defects, or when fillings are no longer sufficient, all-ceramic inlays or crowns are used. They are made to fit precisely in our in-house laboratory and combine stability with high aesthetic quality. Thanks to the natural translucency of ceramic, they look like your own teeth.
Bonding: small, targeted corrections
For smaller corrections, such as a slightly chipped corner or a tiny gap, so-called bonding is often enough: the area in question is modelled directly with composite, without grinding down the tooth. A gentle, quick and reversible method.
How we proceed
Consultation & understanding your wishes
You tell us what you would like. We listen, examine and assess what is realistic and sensible.
Planning & preview
For more extensive changes, we can create a so-called mock-up on request, a trial model that lets you see the planned result in advance.
Treatment
Depending on the chosen solution, usually in one to three sessions. You are informed step by step, and nothing happens without your consent.
Aftercare
We check the result again after a few weeks and discuss long-term care with you.
Realistic expectations
Aesthetic treatments have natural limits. The final result depends on the initial situation of your teeth, the line of your gums and individual biological factors. We talk openly with you about what is achievable and where compromises are necessary. For medical reasons, no guarantee can be given for a particular appearance.
